AUTO

AUTO (short for Autopilot) is the AI-powered co-pilot of the Axiom spaceship in the film Wall-E and also the main antagonist of the movie. AUTO is voiced by MacInTalk. Who is MacInTalk and why is his name so ridiculously hillarious for a person? Because, MacInTalk isn't a person, rather a text-to-speech program used for Apple MacInTosh computers back then.

AUTO's design is based on a steering wheel, being white with the center being a red circle with 5 arms. AUTO moves using railings seen in the ceiling. AUTO appears near the second half of the movie. In the movie, AUTO informs the Captain that Earth is uninhabitable due to the toxicity. But, the Captain disagrees, saying that the plant brought by E.V.E, another robot is proof that life still could and already exists on earth

Then, AUTO does a mutiny, locking the Captain in his quarters. Then, the Captain manages to trick AUTO and makes AUTO open the door, and then the Captain manages to deactivate AUTO using a switch. After all the chaos, the plant is still there and humans continue to live on earth again.

The moral of the character AUTO is that, don't rely on technology too much, its supposed to be a tool for helping, not for everyday use
